"Govt is used to serve the interests of business all the time".

That strikes me as the motto of class warriors. I'm always skeptical of that. Most of us rely on the health of business for our livelihoods, so without overemphasizing trickle down, a growing economy relies on a healthy business environment.

So I guess strictly speaking I agree with your statement, but I think that is pretty much the same as saying "Govt is used to serve the interests of the economy all the time".

Free markets are not a myth. But free market does not mean wild west - there is a role for govt, at least to try to put the word "fair" next to "free".
